Stand stock and stump records in the field
Two record types for foresters and forest owners: stand stock right in the field, and stump records with GPS, photos and a volume estimate. Works without signal too.
Stand stock without pencil and paper
Record individual trees or run a diameter tally of the whole stand. The app calculates volume and stock by species.
- Species, DBH, height, volume, condition, photo and note for every tree
- Stand diameter tally by tapping diameter classes
- Site header including the parcel from the map
- Export to PDF, CSV and Excel
Standing tree volume using species volume equations.
You tap the diameter classes, the app does the totals.
Fill in the site straight from the forest atlas.
A saved document captures the exact state at the time of measuring.
Timber theft report
When you find fresh stumps in a stand, record them one by one. The result is a report you can hand over to the police or your insurer.
- GPS location of every stump, including accuracy
- Two perpendicular diameters and a volume estimate as you type
- Owner, forest manager, time, reporting person and damage estimate
- A “Save + next stump” button for fast work
Every stump has GPS coordinates and the measurement accuracy.
Add photos to a stump straight from the phone camera.
The phone itself calculates the volume estimate.
The whole record works offline; data is sent later.
Frequently asked questions
What is recorded in Tree and Stump Records?
Standing trees and stumps – species, diameter, height, GPS position and a photo. Useful for marking a harvest and for checks after logging.
Does the app calculate standing tree volume?
Yes. From the diameter at breast height (1.3 m) and the tree height it estimates volume using species volume equations.
Can the volume of a felled tree be estimated from its stump?
Roughly. From the stump diameter the app estimates the original tree's diameter and volume. It is an estimate, not an exact measurement – the real volume may differ, so treat it as an indicative figure when checking illegal logging or damage.
